Bassist Mike Hatton's MJHQ makes an exciting contribution to the UK’s Midlands Jazz scene producing a mix of music, with roots from American Jazz and Blues and others which are distinctly European.

One of the few bassists around who performs solo, in the Colin Hodgkinson mode, Mike uses a chordal approach, and in a 30+ year career, has been performing Jazz and Blues music in this style since the early noughties, adding his own vocals to the mix.
